This article brings together the different traffic studies typically performed by MoDOT engineers. Since traffic engineering concepts include roadway conditions, roadway designs, signing, striping, traffic control and so on, this article provides a single source on how to gather data for a traffic study and EPG links to implement resulting countermeasures. The HAL Manual, a tool for MoDOT personnel although only a supplemental document to MoDOT policy, is included in the article as is the Missouri Uniform Accident Report, the crash report used by law enforcement.
