This article establishes procedures for inspecting and sampling traffic signal lamps purchased to comply with the bid request issued by MoDOT.

1130.1 Procedure

Refer to Signal Bulb Inspection Process.

1130.2 Laboratory Testing Guidelines

This article establishes procedures for sampling, testing and reporting traffic signal lamps purchased to comply with the bid request issued by MoDOT.

1130.2.1 Testing

Samples shall be subjected to a Laboratory visual examination to determine compliance for light center length, markings, position of burning, bulb type, base type, and filament type. Manufacturer's certifications shall be checked for compliance with all requirements of the bid request. Data on Laboratory findings shall be recorded in Laboratory workbooks. This information shall then be recorded through SiteManager.

1130.2.2 Sample Record

The sample record shall be completed in SiteManager, as described in Sample Record General Information , and shall indicate acceptance, qualified acceptance, or rejection. Appropriate remarks, as described in EPG 106.20 Reporting, are to be included in the remarks to clarify conditions of acceptance or rejection. Test results shall be reported on the appropriate templates under the Tests tab.
