Any outside edge drop-off between 2-3 in. shall be 1:1 and greater than 3 in. shall be a 1V:3H (3:1) slope. Emergency crossovers shall be properly signed for use by emergency vehicles only. Emergency vehicle crossovers should not be paved to discourage vehicular use. The side slopes on the crossovers shall be a 1V:10H (10:1) or flatter slope.
