This article establishes procedures for sampling a universal low silicate anti-freeze and summer coolant. The requirements are set forth in the bid request issued by MoDOT.
1102.1 Procedure
Antifreeze and summer coolant shall be sampled by submitting to the Laboratory a one-gallon (4 liters) container, unopened, from each lot in the shipment. A sample tag shall be completed in accordance with AWP MA Sample Record, General and shall accompany each sample submitted to the Laboratory. The sample tag shall include the brand name, supplier's name and address, manufacturer's name and address, lot number, quantity represented (in gallons), and purchase order number. An AWP record shall be made to include all of the pertinent information.
