133.3.1 Personnel from other Functional Units
Districts may use any safety sensitive personnel designated by the district engineer in emergency situations and as indicated by the particular emergency. A commercial drivers license (CDL) is required for snow and ice control work.

133.3.3 Emergency Equipment Operators
MoDOT has authorized the use of emergency help during snow and ice storms. The decision to use emergency help is at the discretion of the district. Hiring of emergency snow removal help and drug and alcohol testing shall be in accordance with the Personnel Policy Manual. A CDL is required for snow and ice control work.

- Reasons for policy: Shifts are used to establish set work times for employees, to determine overtime situations as well as to establish reimbursement for meals.

133.3.6 On Call for Snow and Ice Control
Being on call shall require each individual employee to notify his or her supervisor of a phone number where the employee can be reached.
- Reasons for policy: 29 CFR 785.17 (Federal Regulations), hours to be worked, District Engineer's letter of October 7, 1991 (seasonal reminders) and to ensure the availability of personnel.

133.3.7 Reimbursement for Meals
